THE incredible scorecards from Josh Taylor’s controversial win over Jack Catterall have been revealed.

And the stunning punch stats further prove the boxing world was right to blast the split decision.

The judges scorecards had it 112-113, 113-112 and 114-111

Josh Taylor and Jack Catterall both thought they had done enough to win the fight

Catterall boxed magnificently in front of a Taylor-mad Scottish crowd in Glasgow.

And most believed he did enough to secure the WBA, WBC, IBF and WBO light-welterweight world titles.

But after initially celebrating after the final bell, Catterall’s elation quickly turned to devastation when the scores were announced.

Howard Foster showed some sense with his 113-112 score to Catterall, with both fighters winning six rounds.

But Victor Loughlin had it down as 113-112 to Taylor.

And Ian John-Lewis somehow managed to give Taylor a whopping 114-111 victory and eight of the 12 rounds.

However, the punching stats clearly showed how Catterall dominated the showdown.

He threw 525 punches to Taylor’s 306 with both men landing just shy of a quarter – 120 for Catterall and 73 for Taylor.

Of those, 39 of 258 jabs connected and 81 of 267 power hits did for the challenger.

By contrast, the Tartan Tornado managed to catch his opponent with 16 of 127 jabs and 57 of 179 big shots.

It led to a furious reaction from many inside the boxing world.

Dillian Whyte simply said: “Disgusting.”

Carl Frampton commented: “I love Josh. I love Jack. But the wrong man got his hand raised.”

And after storming off and refusing to comment, Catterall broke his silence with an X-rated tweet just before 1am.

He wrote: “What a load of s***!”
