‘They can’t stop me’ – Ryan Garcia tells Floyd Mayweather and Canelo they need THE AVENGERS to shut him up over feud

RYAN GARCIA insists that he will continue to take shots at Canelo Alvarez despite Floyd Mayweather’s criticism – and says they need THE AVENGERS to stop him.

The 23-year-old American used to be mentored by the Mexican great after they were both trained by Eddy Reynoso and were part of Golden Boy Promotions.

Ryan Garcia says nobody can stop his war of words with former mentor Canelo Alvarez

Floyd Mayweather has even joined in the row and defender the Mexican

But their relationship has now turned sour after Garcia took time off from the ring due to mental health problems following his knock out win over Luke Campbell in 2021 to stretch his unbeaten record to 22-0.

That prompted Canelo to criticise him for a lack of discipline, while the Flash KingRy irritated his former pal when predicting that he would lose to Gennady Golovkin in their upcoming trilogy bout.

Despite his own long-standing rivalry with Canelo, Mayweather defended his foe amid the continued war of words between him and Garcia.

He said: “You see Ryan Garcia. First he’s praising Canelo, wants to learn from Canelo, in Canelo’s training camp.

“Now it’s all hate. Accomplish what Canelo has accomplished, then speak bad about him. “One thing about Canelo, he’s gonna step up to the plate and do what he gotta do. He’s gonna fight.

“I can’t knock the mother***** because he’s going down in the Hall of Fame.”

However, in response to those remarks, Garcia is adamant that nobody will stop him from speaking ill of Canelo.

He told Fight Hype: “They need the Avengers to stop me, they need the Avengers to stop me from talking.

“It could be Floyd, it could be Canelo, throw in all the GOATs, they need them all. They can’t stop me.”

Garcia is currently preparing for the toughest test yet of his career this Saturday in Los Angeles when he battles WBA super-featherweight champion Javier Fortuna.
