Punching Techniques

There are seven types: Left Hook (right hook), Right Hook (uppercut), Cross (cross), Straight, Overhand, Underhand. Each punch comes with its own technique. Some punches are more powerful than others. An example of this is an uppercut, which requires tremendous force. A straight punch, on the other hand requires less power and is quicker than other punches.

There are also various punching combinations. These are combinations of punches that work together to achieve a specific goal. One combination can have many parts. An example of this is a left hook, followed by a right crossing. This will damage the opponent‘s jaw.

Guard Techniques

A boxer protects himself by using his body. He uses his arms, legs, elbows, knees, knees, and feet to do this.

Legs

Boxers should use the legs to protect themselves against kicks. If he gets kicked, he raises one leg and turns away from his attacker. To avoid being kicked on his side, he will bend his knees if the attack is from the front. However, if the attack comes from behind, he stands up straight and blocks the kick with his foot.

Hands

Boxers use their hands as a shield against incoming punches. Boxers raise their fists to block incoming blows and then move in the direction of the attacker’s attack. Then they make contact with the attacker’s fist.

Knees

Boxers who are subject to a punch to their stomachs, abdomens, or chests should bend at the knees to absorb the impact. A lot of boxers use knee strikes to defend themselves.

Feet

When attacked, a boxer should step back and deliver counter-attacks. This will allow him to gain distance from his opponent. In addition, when delivering a counter-attack, a boxer should keep his balance.
