Tommy Fury NOT in Jake Paul’s ‘mind at all right now’ and should ‘do his own PPV’ to earn fight with YouTube star

TOMMY FURY has been urged to ‘do his own pay-per-view’ in order to gain Jake Paul’s attention again.

The celebrity rivals were due to put bragging rights and unbeaten records on the line in a December 18 grudge match.

But Fury, 22, was forced to pull out with a broken rib and bacterial chest infection.

Following the withdrawal, Tyron Woodley, 39, filled in as a replacement, four months after losing to Paul, 24, on points and was knocked out in round six.

Fury has since called to have their fight rescheduled, but according to the YouTuber’s trainer BJ Flores, Paul has no interest.

Flores told The Schmo: “Yeah he fumbled, I don’t even think Tommy Fury is in Jake’s mind right now.

“We all thought at the time that we would be surprised if this fight comes off.

“Even after the contracts were signed and even after Tommy was talking we were working so hard for a gameplan for Tommy and when they said two weeks before we weren’t surprised.

“We talked about a couple of options but Nakisa (Bidarian) and Jake decided to have that rematch with Tyron as he deserves his holiday and time off and we didn’t want to push it back and not allow him to fight.

“It’s the worst feeling in the world so I don’t think Tommy is in Jake’s mind at all right now.

“Tommy should go and do his own pay-per-view so we can see the numbers analyse them and go from there.”

Paul has now knocked out every opponent he has faced, with Woodley joining YouTuber ‘AnEsonGib’, ex-NBA player Nate Robinson, 37, and retired UFC welterweight Ben Askren, 37.

But with Fury’s cancelation, it means he is still yet to fight an opponent with prior professional boxing experience.

And the American is ready to leave his British rival in the dust – and would rather face his brother Tyson, 33, or DAD John, 57.

Paul said to Chris Mannix: “He wants the payday but I’ve said it before that I don’t wanna take the fight with him, he doesn’t deserve it.

“I’d rather fight Tyson. I would want Tyson to come down to cruiserweight and that would be a bigger fight, or his dad.

“His dad John did a better job of promoting the fight than Tommy did. So I’ll fight his brother or his dad before I fight Tommy.”
