Tommy Fury, the boxing sensation and younger brother of world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, has revealed his plans for a career switch once he hangs up his gloves.
Rise to Fame
In 2019, Fury shot to mainstream fame after appearing on the hit reality series Love Island. Not only did he gain popularity as a budding boxer with a 2-0 record, but he also found love and is now engaged to Molly-Mae Hague, who he met on the show.
Celebrity Super-Fight Success
Currently boasting a record of 9-0, Fury recently gained even more attention by defeating Jake Paul, the YouTuber-turned-boxer, in a highly-anticipated celebrity super-fight. This victory has earned Fury another blockbuster bout, this time against British celebrity KSI, which will take place in Manchester on October 14.
Career Transition to the Big Screen
However, once his boxing career comes to an end, Fury has his sights set on a new venture – acting. During an episode of the Netflix series "At Home with the Furys," Fury shared his dream of making it onto the big screen. He specifically expressed an interest in horror films, admitting that he doesn't want to pursue serious acting.
Fury said, "My dream is now to do the boxing, get as far as I can in that, then I’d like to get into the films. I’ve made my mind up. But I think I’ll have an easier way into it because I don’t want to do serious acting. I just wanna do horror films."
Brother Tyson, who knows Fury's passion for horror movies, asked, "You’re a horror movie buff, ain’t you?"
Focusing on Training
Amidst his career aspirations, Fury is currently living separately from his fiancée, Molly-Mae, in order to focus on his upcoming fight against KSI. He has moved out of their luxurious £3.5 million mansion and will be in training camp for approximately two months. Molly-Mae has expressed her support and understanding, saying, "It’s probably going to be about two months that we’re not living together, that’s just the way training camp is."
