Punching Techniques

There are seven types: Left Hook (right hook), Right Hook (uppercut), Cross (cross), Straight, Overhand, Underhand. Each punch has its own technique. Some punches require more force than others. An example of this is an uppercut, which requires tremendous force. On the other hand, a straight punch requires less power but it is faster than other punches.

There are also many combinations. These are combinations made up of several punches that can be used together to achieve one goal. A combination may have multiple parts. A left hook followed with a right-cross will cause injury to the opponent’s jaw.

Guard Techniques

A boxer uses his body to protect himself against attacks. He does this by using his legs.

Legs

Boxers must use their legs to defend themselves against kicks. When he receives a kick, he raises his leg and moves away from the attacker. To avoid being kicked on the sides, he bends at his knees when the attacker strikes from the front. He will block the kick with his foot if the attack is coming from behind.

Elbows

Because elbow strikes inflict a lot of pain, they are very effective. An elbow strike can be delivered directly or indirectly. Directly means that your opponent is hit with your forearm. However, indirectly means that your elbow strike is delivered with another part or your arm.

Hands

Boxers use their hands as a shield against incoming punches. To do this, they raise their fists higher than their heads and move their arms in the direction that the attack is coming. The attacker’s fist is then in their face.

Knees

Boxers should bend their knees when receiving blows to the abdomen, stomach, or chest. Knee strikes can be used to defend yourself.

Feet

Boxers should respond to being attacked by their opponent by standing back and delivering counter-attacks. This allows him to put distance between himself, his opponent, and the ring. A boxer must also maintain his balance when responding to an opponent’s counter-attack.

Stances

To box effectively, a boxer must establish a stance. His stance will determine how he defends. It is how he positions himself and where he faces the opponent. Boxers can take many different stances. These are some of our most favorite:

A boxer must change his position, speed and rhythm in order to win the fight. This includes changing speed, position and rhythm.

Rotation

Boxers rotate their arms when they throw a punch. You can rotate at different speeds depending upon the punch.

Combinations

The timing of each individual punch affects the effectiveness or failure of a combination. A combination that works well starts with strong punches and ends with weak ones is a winning combination.

Spare parts

Sparring is a training session that improves boxing skills. A sparring session is where a boxer trains both his mind and his body. Sparring is a way to learn how to fight without getting hurt.
