And Paul has maintained his desire to exercise his rematch clause to guarantee a second bout between the rivals.

Rumours circulated for a date in July but Tommy’s father and coach John predicted the fight WILL happen despite negotiations not yet surfacing.

He told The Express, via Free Bets: “It depends on what they want to do, but at the moment, Tommy’s put a hard training camp in.

“We spent 10 weeks in camps, one, two months ready. So, you know, it’s probably going to be later on in the year.

“I’ve not spoke to people connected to either, you know, so I think Jake Paul’s having a rest, just like we are, and his team and his people, we’ll be on it in due course.

“We’ve not spoken about anything yet.”

Tommy had vowed to bury his bitter feud with Paul in the Diriyah desert before continuing to build up his boxing record the hard way.

But after getting a taste of a mega-money payday, John wants his boy to cash in while he can.

John said: “I think at this moment in time conventional boxing will have to go on the backburner because boxing is a business, and you have to go where the money is.

“Whoever is a big name, who brings stuff to the table we’re interested in. Yep, we’re interested in KSI, he can have it next if he wants.

“We’re interested in the Salt Papi’s of the world, everybody with a name who thinks they can have a go, can have a go. Even with conventional boxing.

“If they want to pay the same sort of money as these guys are paying, we’ll do the conventional boxing as well, but, after where we’ve been you can’t really box at York Hall, can you?”

How To

Here are some basic skills in boxing

How to box effectively

Boxing has become a very popular sport. It involves two people who attempt to knock each other out of their heads. There are different rules for boxing, and they vary from one country to the next. There are three main types of boxing: Amateur boxing, Professional boxing, and Olympic boxing.

Amateur boxing is often practiced at school, college, or university. This type of boxing includes sparring sessions with padded gloves and without any protection. Amateur boxing matches usually consist of three rounds lasting five minutes each. There are many different styles of amateur boxing including Kickboxing, Muay Thai, Taekwondo, Karate, Judo, Wrestling and others.

Professional boxing is usually practiced in gyms, clubs or stadiums. They have protective equipment such as mouthpieces. Professional boxing competitions include six rounds of four minutes each. There are many different types of professional Boxing such as Boxing, MMA, Kickboxing, Muay Thai or Taekwondo.

Olympic boxing takes place at the Olympics. International standards require that boxers use special protective gear. The competition lasts eight rounds of three minutes each. Olympic boxing is limited to two styles: Light Flyweight and Heavyweight.

The basics of boxing are:

  • Punching techniques
  • Guarding techniques
  • Footwork
  • Stance
  • Movement of the body
  • Defense
  • Combination
  • Rotation
  • Spare parts

Punching Techniques

There are seven types of punches available: Left Hook and Right Hook, Cross, Cross, Straight, Underhand, Overhand, Cross, Straight, Cross, Straight, Cross, Straight, and Overhand. Each punch comes with its own technique. Some punches require more force than others. For example, an uppercut requires great force. However, a straight punch is much more powerful and faster than other punches.

There are also many combinations. These are combinations made up of several punches that can be used together to achieve one goal. One combination can have many parts. An example of this is a left hook, followed by a right crossing. This will damage the opponent’s jaw.

Guard Techniques

A boxer uses his body to protect himself against attacks. He does this by using his legs.

Legs

Boxers should use the legs to protect themselves against kicks. If he gets kicked, he raises one leg and turns away from his attacker. If the attacker is coming from the front, he will bend at the knees to avoid getting kicked on either side. But if the attack comes in the back, he will stand straight and block the kick using his foot.

Elbows

Elbow strikes are very effective because they inflict much pain. An elbow strike can be delivered directly or indirectly. Directly means you hit your opponent directly with your forearm. While indirectly, it means you hit him with another section of your arm.

Hands

Boxers use both their hands and arms to prevent incoming blows. Boxers raise their fists to block incoming blows and then move in the direction of the attacker’s attack. The attacker’s fist is then in their face.

Knees

Boxers who are subject to a punch to their stomachs, abdomens, or chests should bend at the knees to absorb the impact. Defense purposes are often served by knee strikes.

Feet

A boxer should take control of an attack and respond with counter-attacks. This allows him to put distance between himself, his opponent, and the ring. Boxers should also keep their balance when counter-attacking.

Stances

To box effectively, a boxer must establish a stance. The way he defends himself will be determined by his stance. It determines where he will face his opponent and how he will position his body. Boxers can take many different stances. These are the most popular:

  • Low stance
  • High stance
  • Southpaw stance
  • Western stance

Moving your body

A boxer must be able to move around his opponent in order to win a fight. This requires changing your position, speed, and rhythm.

Rotation

To increase his punching power, a boxer rotates when he throws a punch. The rotation is done at different speeds depending on the type of punch.

Combinations

The timing of each punch determines the effectiveness of a combination. A combination that works well starts with strong punches and ends with weak ones is a winning combination.

Spare parts

Sparring, a boxing practice session, is designed to improve your boxing skills. A sparring session is where a boxer trains both his mind and his body. Sparring, in conclusion, is about learning how to fight and not getting hurt.

It is important to be patient and dedicated when learning how to box. You need to train hard and long in order to become a better boxer.
