Oleksandr Usyk has hit out at Tyson Fury

The Ukrainian suggested Fury is a bad copy of Mohammad Ali

A proposed fight between Usyk and Fury fell through in March with the two parties unable to agree a deal.

It is believed Usyk was even prepared to agree a 70-30 purse split in Fury’s favour to make the fight happen.

But according to Usyk’s agent Egis Klimas Fury kept making more demands which made reaching a compromise impossible.

Since the collapse of the fight the fighters have been quiet, and now Usyk has made his dig at the Gypsy King.

He told Volodymyr Kobelkov on his YouTube channel: “He is trying very hard to copy the great Muhammad Ali.

“But the copy is very bad.”

On the breakdown of negotiations, Usyk added: “He says, ’70/30, I am the king. It’s all thanks to me.’ I don’t respond to that.

“I understand that this is a mental game.

“The king is the king. And the king does not need to shout that he is the king.”

Usyk, 36, now looks set to instead face WBA mandatory challenger Daniel Dubois, 25.

But former WBC champion Deontay Wilder, 37, has thrown his name into the hat for a mega-fight with the WBA, IBF and WBO champion.

Meanwhile, Anthony Joshua, 33, said he would be willing to fight Fury after he beat Jermaine Franklin at the 02 Arena.

Fury has also been called out by Youtube Logan Paul for a cage fight.

Speaking to BT Sport, he said: “You know what I would do because I saw Tyson talking s***?

“I would fight Tyson in a MMA fight.”

Professional boxing competitions include six rounds of four minutes each. There are several different styles of professional boxing including Boxing, MMA (Mixed Martial Arts), Kickboxing, Muay Thai, Taekwondo and others.

Olympic boxing is performed at the Olympics. Boxers wear special protective gear, which must conform to international standards. Each round lasts three minutes and is made up of eight rounds. Only two types of Olympic boxing are available: Light Flyweight or Heavyweight.

These are the basic skills required to box.

  • Punching techniques
  • Guarding techniques
  • Footwork
  • Stance
  • Body movement
  • Defense
  • Combination
  • Rotation
  • Spare parts

Punching Techniques

There are seven types: Left Hook (right hook), Right Hook (uppercut), Cross (cross), Straight, Overhand, Underhand. Each punch has its own technique. Some punches require more force than others. An example of this is an uppercut, which requires tremendous force. On the contrary, a straight punch takes less power but is faster than most punches.

There are also different combinations. These are combinations which combine several punches in order to achieve a specific goal. A combination may contain several parts. For example, a left hook followed by a right cross will cause damage to the opponent’s jaw.

Guard Techniques

To defend himself from being attacked, a boxer uses his entire body. He uses his arms, legs, elbows, knees, knees, and feet to do this.

Legs

Boxers should use the legs to protect themselves against kicks. When he’s hit, he raises his right leg and runs away from the attacker. To avoid being kicked in the side, he bends down if the attacker attacks from the front. However, if the attack comes from behind, he stands up straight and blocks the kick with his foot.

Elbows

Because they cause great pain, elbow strikes are extremely effective. You can deliver an elbow strike directly or indirectly. Directly, you strike your opponent with your forearm. Indirectly, you hit him with another portion of your arm.

Hands

Boxers use the power of their hands to block any incoming blows. Boxers use their hands to stop incoming punches. They raise their fists up above their heads and move towards the attack. Then, they touch the attacker’s hand.

Knees

Boxers should bend their knees when receiving blows to the abdomen, stomach, or chest. Knee strikes can be used to defend yourself.

Feet

When attacked, a boxer should step back and deliver counter-attacks. This will allow him to gain distance from his opponent. Boxers should also keep their balance when counter-attacking.

Stances

Boxing effectively requires a boxer to have a good stance. How he defends his self will depend on how he stances. It determines his position and the direction he will face. Boxers have many options for stances. Here are some of the most common ones:

  • Low stance
  • High stance
  • Southpaw stance
  • Western stance

The Body Movement

A boxer must be able to move around his opponent in order to win a fight. This includes changing speed, position and rhythm.

Rotation

Rotating his arm to increase the puncher’s reach is a key part of boxing. Depending on the type and size of punch, the speed at which the rotation takes place varies.

Combinations

The effectiveness of a combination depends on the timing of each individual punch. A combination of strong and weak punches will produce a good result.

Spares

Sparring, a boxing practice session, is designed to improve your boxing skills. Sparring allows a boxer to improve his mental and physical skills. Sparring is a way to learn how to fight without getting hurt.

It is important to be patient and dedicated when learning how to box. To be a better boxer you need to train hard.
