Booking a Fight with Oleksandr Usyk Raises Concerns
Former UFC star Michael Bisping has claimed that Tyson Fury is disrespecting Francis Ngannou by booking a fight with Oleksandr Usyk. The Gypsy King and Ngannou have agreed to a duel in Saudi Arabia, possibly on December 3. However, this fight comes just eight weeks after Fury's meeting with Ngannou on October 28.
"He is mocking him," Bisping Alleges
Bisping went on to say that Fury does not take Ngannou seriously and does not respect the threat he poses. According to Bisping, Fury has already booked his next fight against Oleksandr Usyk, who is considered the next-best heavyweight in the world. Bisping believes this lack of respect could be a massive mistake for Fury.
Fans Split on Fury's Decision
Fans have expressed mixed opinions on Fury's decision. While Bisping and some others believe Fury is underestimating Ngannou, there are supporters who disagree. Many have criticized Ngannou's skills in sparring after a video emerged of him looking laboured and lacking a hard-hitting punch.
Only time will tell if Fury's decision to fight Usyk while already having a scheduled bout with Ngannou will prove to be a mistake. Boxing fans around the world are eagerly awaiting both fights to see how each heavyweight showdown unfolds.
