TYSON FURY has revealed the exact moment when he KNEW he would beat Deontay Wilder.
And it came just seconds after he was brutally floored in the 12th round of their first fight.
In December 2018 the pair fought to a draw, with many believing Fury deserved to win despite being floored twice.
But the Gypsy King got his revenge in February 2020 when he battered Wilder from pillar to post to stop the American on his feet in the seventh.
It meant Fury got his hands on the only heavyweight belt he had not won previously in the WBC version.
Now, speaking on a Fox promotional video for the trilogy scrap on October 9, Fury has spoken of when he knew he could KO the Bronze Bomber.
He explained: “After the first Wilder fight in the last round when he knocked me down, I got back up and got into it, and he didn’t like it.
“From that moment on, I knew how to beat Deontay Wilder.

“I knew I had to go forward on him and unload big punches. Looking back at it years later, it was the best thing that could have happened because I got to do it all again.”
Fury also claimed that Wilder being pulled out in the seventh round ‘saved his life’.
He added: “The final stoppage was when I was catching him clean [in round seven].
“I believe the referee actually saved his life that night and saved his career.”
Fury says he will “smash Wilder to bits” – for a second time – when the pair clash in their trilogy on October 9.
Making the first defence of his belt, Fury will be aiming to send Wilder a step closer to retirement.
Speaking on a Zoom call to the media, the 33-year-old said: “It’s nearly that time of the year again where I take over Las Vegas, and it becomes the home of ‘The Gypsy King,’.
“And just remember that I plan to smash Deontay Wilder to bits….and I will.
“I’m very excited. I’m looking forward to this fight. I’m very motivated, focused, and determined and I can’t wait for October 9. I wish it was this weekend.
“I have to wait one more week until I get these big hands on Wilder for a third time.”
