TYSON FURY reiterated his desire to retire from boxing after knocking out Dillian Whyte – but his career in combat sport is far from over.

The Gypsy King vowed a switch to wrestling following last night’s stunning win and is planning another WWE appearance.

The Gypsy King teased a return to Vince McMahon’s promotion after his KO win over Dillian Whyte

Fury has fought once in the WWE before – a count-out win over Braun Strowman in Saudi Arabia back in 2019.

The 33-year-old revealed after beating Whyte last night that he is planning talks with WWE chief Vince McMahon, and wants to fight at SummerSlam.

SummerSlam is one of the promotion’s biggest events and is scheduled for July 30 in Nashville, Tennessee.

“I’ve got to speak to Vince and the boys, maybe make this happen. I know Drew McIntyre has been saying a lot of things about me, I’ll have to knock him out, like I did his pal.”

He also recently called for the WWE to bring Wrestlemania to Wembley.

The WWE announced earlier this month that Cardiff will host a major outdoor event in September, the first marquee pay-per-view event on British soil since the 1992 instalment of SummerSlam at Wembley.

And Fury has revealed he would “love” to feature in the event.

He continued: “I’d love to be at Cardiff, I’d love to be in the centre stage in the UK, especially for the wrestling.

“I enjoyed it last time in Saudi Arabia, it was fantastic, so to come here and do it would be phenomenal.

“We’re definitely going to make a bit of contact and see if we can make that SummerSlam thing a reality.”

Despite reiterating his desire to quit boxing following Saturday night’s triumphant victory, Fury looks set to be a busy man in the coming months.

Not only is he planning a switch to WWE, but he also teased a blockbuster crossover dust-up with UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou.

Ngannou made his way into the ring after Fury KO’d Whyte, and the pair quickly began talking up a showdown during a joint interview with ESPN.
