BOB ARUM is ‘optimistic’ Tyson Fury will face Deontay Wilder on December 19 with 10,000 to 15,000 fans at new 65,000 capacity Raiders Stadium.
Fury, 32, dethroned Wilder, 34, of the WBC belt in February and handed the American his first career loss. 
The pair – who drew their initial bout in December 2018 – had already pre-signed for a trilogy which has been pushed back to the end of year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Fury’s US promoter Arum told ESPN, they are pushing to fill almost a quarter of the new £1.5billion Raiders Stadium in Las Vegas.
He said: “That’s what we’re moving ahead on, on all fronts, with the security, with the virus, and everything.
“We’re talking with everybody here in town, with the Raiders.
“So we’re optimistic that we’ll be able to do the event in Nevada, in Las Vegas.”
Arum previously claimed China and Australia – on Christmas Day – are wildcards alternatives for the immediate rematch.
Their second fight sold 17,698 tickets earlier this year, breaking the record for biggest gate at a heavyweight fight.
But since the return of boxing, all fights have taken place behind closed doors.
Live crowds with a max of 250 people are due to return in Quebec, Canada, next month, according to documents obtained by The Journal of Montreal.
It is not yet clear when America will follow, but Anthony Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn had hoped to have supporters return in a limited capacity by October in the UK.
He applied to the Government for a pilot event, after his Matchroom Sports banner already held a snooker tournament with 300 people present in August.
But the Government’s latest restrictions limiting social gatherings to no more than six people has pushed back the return of British boxing fans.
Fury previously warned UK promoter Frank Warren he must fight by the year’s out, behind closed doors or not.
And he has even hinted at starring in the WWE again, having debuted in October before beating Braun Strowman in Saudi Arabia.
Fury is pushing to face WWE champion Drew McIntyre even visiting Scotland to call out the 35-year-old.
