AJ is represented by Matchroom promoter Eddie Hearn
The Matchroom promoter insists the matter is “still open for discussions” but suggested the fight is “off” as it stands.
In a direct response, Big John said: “This is a video to Eddie Hearn… Mr Brains of Britain, let me explain it to you my friend, how you cost your man over a hundred million.
“Fifteen million step aside money, free money. Then Tyson would have gone and done what AJ couldn’t do, is gone and beat Usyk and bring all the belts back to the UK.
“In the meantime, AJ could have had a couple of easy victories, thirty mil, then he could have challenged Tyson for the belt, well who knows what numbers that would have done?
“So yeah, you don’t need to be the brains of Britain to see how you cost him money and put him in a position where you were on a hiding to nothing, Mr Brains of Britain.
“You’ve got him beat over there when he could have had 15 million free money, step aside money, and Tyson would have gone and beaten his man up for him and brought all the belts back in.
“He could have challenged him after some easy victories, free money I might as well say.
“So yeah, you’re a clever man Eddie aren’t you? Very clever.”

On exactly why the fight has failed to materialise, Hearn told Matchroom Boxing: “They gave us terms ultimately in a date they thought we wouldn’t accept. We did accept that.
“We were ready to go. If they would have signed the contract on Monday, they had a fight.
“We were asked to agree the deal by Monday, then we were asked to agree it by Wednesday. We got their comments back on Wednesday.
“We were never gonna sign the fight, and we were told the fight is off.
“So, it’s still there. It’s still open for discussions. But we’re not gonna play a game with a bloke that’s just coming out telling AJ it’s off and then he’s a dosser and he’s gotta sign it etc.
“Have your fight if you wanna fight someone else and we’ll do our thing, and we’ll see what happens.”
He even added that Fury has moved on to another, less appealing match-up.
Hearn added: “At the weekend, or Friday, Derek Chisora received a contract for the Tyson Fury fight.
“So have other fighters, so in our mind he’s not fighting Anthony Joshua.
“We’re more than happy to continue those conversations, but from what we’ve been told, the deadline has passed.”

How to box efficiently

Amateur boxing may be done at school, college, and university. This boxing style includes sparring sessions without protection, using padded gloves. Amateur boxing contests are usually three rounds in length, lasting five minutes each. There are many styles to amateur boxing like Kickboxing. Muay Thai. Taekwondo. Karate. Judo. Wrestling.
Boxing is often practiced in gyms or clubs. They use protective equipment, such as mouthpieces, nose guards, shin protectors, elbow pads knee pads, waist belts and groin protectors. Professional boxing contests last six rounds and last for four minutes each. There are many types of professional boxing. These include Boxing (MMA), Kickboxing (Mixed Martial Arts), Muay Thai and Taekwondo.
Olympic boxing is done at the Olympics. Special protective gear must be worn by boxers to ensure compliance with international standards. The eight rounds last three minutes each and are held over eight rounds. There are only two styles of Olympic boxing; Light Flyweight and Heavyweight.
Boxing is based on the following skills:
- Punching techniques
- Techniques for protecting yourself
- Movement of the body
There are seven kinds of punches: Left Hook, Right Hook, Uppercut, Cross, Straight, Overhand and Underhand. Each punch has its own technique. Some punches are more powerful than others. A strong uppercut for example requires a lot of force. On the contrary, a straight punch takes less power but is faster than most punches.
There are many combinations of punches. These are combinations that combine punches to accomplish a particular goal. A combination can contain multiple parts. An example of this is a left hook, followed by a right crossing. This will damage the opponent’s jaw.
A boxer uses his body to protect himself against attacks. He uses his arms, legs, elbows, knees, knees, and feet to do this.
A boxer must use his legs to defend against kicks. After receiving a kick, he will raise his leg and move away from the attacker. To avoid being kicked on his side, he will bend his knees if the attack is from the front. But if the attack comes in the back, he will stand straight and block the kick using his foot.
Elbow strikes are very effective because they inflict much pain. An elbow strike can be delivered directly or indirectly. Directly, you strike your opponent with your forearm. Indirectly, you hit him with another portion of your arm.
Boxers use their hands as a shield against incoming punches. They raise their fists high above their heads and point them in the direction of an attack. Then, they touch the attacker’s hand.
Boxers who are subject to a punch to their stomachs, abdomens, or chests should bend at the knees to absorb the impact. For defense purposes, knee strikes are common.
When attacked, a boxer should step back and deliver counter-attacks. This way, he can gain distance between himself and his opponent. Additionally, boxers need to maintain their balance when they counter-attack.
Boxing effectively requires a boxer to have a good stance. The way he defends himself will be determined by his stance. It dictates how he places his body and faces his opponent. There are many positions that boxers can adopt. These are the most popular:
- Low stance
- High stance
- Southpaw stance
- Western stance
To win a fight, a fighter must move around the opponent. This requires changing your position, speed, and rhythm.
When a boxer throws a punch, he rotates in order to increase the reach of his arm. You can rotate at different speeds depending upon the punch.
The effectiveness of a combination depends on the timing of each individual punch. A combination of strong and weak punches will produce a good result.
Sparring, a boxing practice session, is designed to improve your boxing skills. Boxers learn to train their mind and bodies during sparring sessions. Sparring, in conclusion, is about learning how to fight and not getting hurt.
You need to have patience and dedication in order to learn how boxing works. To become a better fighter, you have to train hard and continue to work.
