TYSON FURY will not be hurried or harassed into dropping his world title or committing to another fight as he insisted that he’s enjoying retirement.
After starching Dillian Whyte with a sixth-round uppercut in front of 94,000 Wembley fans, to defend his WBC crown, the Gypsy King announced he was finished in the ring.

The undefeated 33-year-old earned around £26million for that win and has other mega-money irons in the fire like a cameo return to WWE wrestling or a cross-sport fight with UFC heavyweight champ Francis Ngannou.
He backed up his retirement claims with a Twitter video earlier, saying: “Just finished a lovely four mile run along the promenade, got a great sweat on. Very, very happy and content being retired.
“It’s been a long time coming. I’m so much enjoying my retirement.”
The WBC – who skim off a handsome percentage of Fury’s purses for sanctioning fees – have claimed they will push him next week for a firm decision on his future.

But promoter Frank Warren insists his star attraction will bow to nobody – especially as there are no clear contenders for the green and gold belt.
The Queensberry boss asked: “Why would they strip him? He’s got no mandatory due. The only time he gets stripped is if he doesn’t fulfil his mandatory and he’s just had one, that’s it.
“Whatever he’s going to do, he’s going to do. I can’t tell him what he should do because he’s too intelligent for me to try and influence. He’s a very smart person, a very clever man.
“There’s no mandatory due, so what are they going to talk about? He may turn around and say, ‘I’m vacating the title’. He may want to do that.

“But no-one is going to tell Tyson Fury what to do. The only person who will tell Tyson Fury what to do will be wife Paris or himself.”
SunSport understands Fury does still have one more fight left on his Top Rank contract but neither US promoters Top Rank nor Warren are pressing him for a decision.
Warren will soon announce a summer clash between Brit banger Joe Joyce and Joseph Parker, who are ranked two and three with the sanctioning body respectively.
And, with No1 ranked Deontay Wilder yet to return from the battering Fury gave him in October, Warren believes the winner of that UK show will be well placed for a crack at Fury or the potentially vacant belt.
But Warren hates the idea of Fury retiring too soon, without reaching the peak of his powers and launching a late comeback when his skill and strength might have waned.
The hall-of-fame matchmaker said: “If someone’s not got it in their heart to fight, then they shouldn’t be in the ring because it’s the most-dangerous sport you can get involved in and you can get hurt.
“What I wouldn’t like him to do is retire now and then come back because he’s not reached his peak.
“As much as the Whyte fight was a great event, it was a one-sided fight, he never lost a round. He dominated that fight from the moment it was signed, not just in the ring.

“I don’t feel personally he should retire because he hasn’t even peaked. He has no mileage on the clock. I look at him and think ‘if he comes back in two or years he won’t be at his peak’.
“So fight at your best, whatever you do, do it when you’re at your best.”
