Watch as Joe Joyce and Michael Wallisch face off through a SCREEN and perform their best mime impressions ahead of fight

JOE JOYCE and Michael Wallisch made the most of having a face off through a screen as the heavyweight duo took it in turns to show off their mime impressions.

The pair are scheduled to trade hell for leather on Saturday night in a behind closed doors event at the BT Sport Studio in Stratford.

Joyce, 34, knows he must avoid defeat if he wishes to fight domestic rival Daniel Dubois for the British, Commonwealth and European titles later this year.

But even though there is pressure on him to deliver, the 2016 Olympic silver medallist was in a jovial mood at Tuesday’s press conference.

Joyce – who goes into the weekend’s bout having won all ten of his professional fights – performed his best mime routine in front of the screen, with Wallisch mimicking everything he did.

Commenting on the screen separating the duo, one fan tweeted: “Isn’t that a bit pointless seeing as the gonna be hugging and sweating all over each other on Saturday?”

Another said: “Jesus. What’s the point. They’re gonna (be) smashing each other’s face in soon. Stupid.”

Meanwhile one poked fun at Joyce’s mime work, as he quipped: “That’s the fastest I’ve ever seen his hands move.”

A fourth simply stated: “Top quality banter.”

Wallisch goes into the dust-up having lost three out of his last four fights – with all of his defeats coming by way of KO.

The 34-year-old is a huge underdog, with many not expecting him to live with Joyce’s power.

But he was all smiles for the camera, as he was seen relishing the chance to propel himself into European title contention.

Wallisch hasn’t fought since September where he was stopped by 2016 Olympic champion Tony Yoka.
