ENGLAND fans went wild inside the First Direct Arena in Leeds after Harry Kane’s equaliser against France.

But England fightback was rewarded when a good phase of play saw Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka brought down, giving Kane the chance to level.

England fought hard to go ahead but former Arsenal and Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud headed France 2-1 ahead leaving hearts in mouths.

The heartache intensified when England were rewarded a second penalty, after Theo Hernandez brought down Mason Mount.

But this time Kane blazed over the bar, squandering England’s chances of levelling again.

Marcus Rashford was inches away from scoring a late free-kick but his effort sailed over the bar.

The final whistle soon followed, dumping England out of the World Cup in the quarter-final stages.

For the fans inside the arena in Leeds, they turned their attention to hometown hero Warrington.
