The Rockets’ mascot, who was wearing giant boxing gloves, playfully offered Paul a fight – with the YouTube boxer getting up and lining him up.
Fans were left stunned when he unleashed a right hand at Clutch, who was sent tumbling to the floor.
The KO was met by gasps, with no fans cheering the violent act against the cuddly looking bear.
Clutch was reportedly left laying on the court for some time, before eventually being carried away.

It was not immediately clear if the incident was staged.
The Rockets went on to lose a high-scoring clash 139-132 against the play-in bound Timberwolves.
Paul found himself in Texas having watched his brother Logan in action at Wrestlemania 38 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington on Saturday night.
The elder Paul brother, who wore a £4million Pokemon card around his neck, teamed up with The Miz to defeat Rey Mysterio and Dominik Mysterio – impressing fans with his display.
Paul was then “betrayed” by The Miz, who went on to attack him.
Of the “betrayal”, Paul said after the event: “I think it’s equivalent to Will Smith slapping Chris Rock.
“I’m still processing why The Miz betrayed me. To be honest with you, if I had to guess, he’s probably jealous. I was doing flips, I went off the top rope, I was doing cool s***.
“Put quite simply, he’s not capable of doing that s***. He’s older, he’s a little thicker. I’m young, I’m spry.
“He just doesn’t have it like me and I think he got jealous and decided to turn on me.
“F*** you, Miz. F*** you so hard.”
