The 5-0 fighter will also have British boxing legend Ricky Hatton, who he started working with in 2019, in his corner.

It’s not the first time Nadim has featured on Sky, as he fought Stefan Nicolae on the undercard of Scott Quigg’s clash with Jono Carroll in 2020.

But Nadim, 22, is buzzing with the fact he can compete on the undercard of his hero Khan’s clash with Brook.

“I am really excited to fight in a decent arena and on a great card,” he said.

“Amir Khan has been someone I have looked up to since I was like 11 or 12 years old.

“It is his boxing style for me. He is always entertaining whether he wins or loses.

“I think they are both at the stage of their careers, where they are past their best, so I just think it is about who turns up on the night and follows the game plan.

“Either one of them is going to get stopped, I don’t see it going to points. I am going with Khan.”

Ricky Hatton will corner Ibrahim Nadim on Saturday

Nadim can count himself lucky he’s got icon Hatton in his corner, but admits he hasn’t seen much of his opponent on Saturday night.

“I am fighting early on, like last time, but it will still be a good experience even under those circumstances,” he added.

“I have not seen much of my opponent. We just needed one on short notice, so we took him.

“He has fought decent boxers. He has only been stopped three times, so he is quite durable.

“I just want to get as many fights in as I can at this early stage of my career.

“It would make a great statement if I could stop him.”

Hatton said of Nadim when they first linked up: “He was a very, very exceptional amateur. He is of a tall and slender nature and has fast hands. He has a massive engine.

“I don’t want to put any pressure on such a young man’s shoulders. It is very very early days.

“He punches very well. He fights up close.

“He has to tick boxes as a fighter. No doubt his talent is there.”
