‘You disconnect yourself completely’ – Logan Paul thought he would ‘DIE’ in Floyd Mayweather fight

LOGAN PAUL has admitted he thought he would ‘DIE’ in his fight with Floyd Mayweather.

The YouTube star in June faced Mayweather in an eight-round exhibition bout in Miami.

And despite having had only two fights in his life – drawing and then losing to online rival KSI – Paul survived the distance.

It meant he technically avoided defeat as no knockout was scored – but the social media influencer was more concerned with escaping death.

Paul, 27, said on the The MMA Hour: “I’ve almost mastered the art of connected disconnectedness.

“You disconnect yourself completely and kind of surrender to what will happen. I live in that space for big events, especially for with Floyd.

“Part of me thought I was going to die with Floyd Mayweather, how do you f***ing cope with that?

“You’re just like, ‘Well, f*** it’. It’s a complicated way of saying f*** it.”

Paul is yet to return to the ring but has since made his WWE debut at WrestleMania.

But for Mayweather, he has confirmed his latest money-spinning comeback fight.

He will  face former sparring partner “Dangerous” Don Moore on May 14 on top of a hotel HELIPAD in Dubai.

The five-division world champion offically hung up the gloves with a perfect 50-0 record in 2017 after beating UFC superstar Conor McGregor, 33.

But he has twice returned since, in exhibitions against kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa, 23, and Paul, who weighed TWO STONE more.

This time, Mayweather, 45, will go over old ground by facing Moore, 42, who was once mentored by his uncle Roger.

And at the press conference to announce the eight-rounder, the American legend took a swipe at Paul’s performance against him.

Mayweather said: “It’s a little different. Don is going to come to fight and may the best man win.
