Living Large After Inheriting Millions
It's been over a year since the passing of beloved Aussie cricketer Shane Warne, and his 20-year-old daughter Summer seems to be making the most of her inheritance. Shane, known for his iconic sports career and larrikin personality, passed away at the age of 52 from a suspected heart attack on March 4, 2022. Now, Summer is enjoying a jetsetting lifestyle that includes luxury vacations and fancy dinners.
A Peek into Summer's Lavish Life
While Summer typically keeps her life private and doesn't flaunt her wealth, her Instagram provides a sneak peek into her lavish lifestyle. Snapshots on her profile reveal dinners at fancy restaurants and trips to exotic locations such as Spain, Greece, Las Vegas, Hawaii, Italy, and London. She recently shared a picture of a resort in Las Vegas, captioning it "Dad's favourite place." Additionally, she posted a photo of a sleek red Ferrari parked on a European street.
Inheritance and Legacy
Shane Warne left behind a £12million estate, which will be divided among his three children. Summer and her siblings are set to receive 31 per cent each, amounting to £3,695,929. Aside from financial assets, Shane also left behind a vehicle collection valued at £215,000, including a Yamaha motorbike, a BMW, and his beloved Mercedes, which was passed down to his son, Jackson.
The Bachelor Pad and Other Properties
One of Shane's most extravagant assets was his flat in Melbourne, worth an impressive £5.7million. This luxury space, referred to as a "certified bachelor pad," featured a secret entry and exit, a private club, a spa, a gold-class private cinema, and a 3000-bottle wine cellar. Shortly after his passing, the flat was sold by the family. Shane's four-bedroom home in Portsea, Victoria, was listed for sale in June for an expected price range of $5.5million to $6million (£2.89million to £3.15million).
The Musician's Legacy
Summer recently made an emotional appearance on The Masked Singer, where she paid tribute to her late father by performing a rendition of Coldplay's hit song "Yellow." The judges were moved to tears, and Summer shared on Instagram that the song held special significance for her and her family. She expressed her wish for her dad to have been able to witness her performance but felt his presence by her side every step of the way.
A Social Media Star
Summer has garnered quite a following on social media, with 41,800 Instagram followers and 62,400 TikTok followers. She regularly shares glimpses of her privileged life, including pictures with friends at restaurants, cozy moments with her boyfriend, family holidays, and even attending music festivals like Beyond The Valley.
A Message from Dannii Minogue
Other Australian celebrities have shown support for Summer and her journey. Singer Dannii Minogue sent her a heartfelt message, acknowledging that Shane's legacy lives on through Summer's strength and connections with loved ones.
The Complicated Family Dynamic
Although Shane's children were the primary recipients of his wealth, he made smaller bequests to his brother, niece, and nephew. Notably, his ex-wife and the mother of his children, Simone Callahan, was excluded from his will. The couple split in 2005 after a tumultuous relationship marred by cheating allegations.
While the cricket legend may no longer be with us, his legacy continues to shine through his children, especially Summer, who is making the most of her inheritance and honoring her father's memory with grace.
