Broad took the final two wickets on Monday as England won the final test against Australia to draw the series.

He had confirmed at the end of play on Saturday that the test would be the last of his career.

After ending his playing days, Broad has now taken up a role as part of Sky Sports’ cricket coverage.

His first day in the job on Wednesday has seen him appear as a pundit for The Hundred.

Broad was present at Lords for the double header between the London Spirit and Oval Invincibles.

He uploaded a picture from the media booth at the famous ground before coverage began.

In the snap, the covers could be seen on the pitch as rain threatened to disrupt the action.

However, he later looked glum as he sat alongside fellow ex-England star Eoin Morgan on the panel.

Broad appeared down as the toss in the women’s match was delayed due to the weather.

He has already been a victim of the weather this summer during the enthralling Ashes series.

Luckily, the clouds cleared in time for Broad to be the hero on day five on Monday.

His heroics have since seen him become the favourite for BBC Sports Personality of the Year.
