Watch cricket star’s ‘village’ style bowling completely bamboozle opponent leaving him on his knees in hysterics

A CRICKETER’S incredible “village” bowling left his opponent bamboozled – before he fell to his knees in hysterics.

Surrey ace Jordan Clark tried to intimidate Lancashire’s Josh Bohannon with some questionable tactics in the County Championship.

Bohannon could not resist a giggle after the incident

His attempt at a bouncer, though, went spectacularly wrong when he threw the cricket ball down into the pitch.

Rather than the ball jumping up towards the head of Bohannon, instead it somehow kicked right up into the air.

Baffled Bohannon took an initial stance before resetting himself and taking a swipe at the ball as it dropped out of the sky.

However, the 26-year-old took an air shot before the ball fell behind the stumps to safety.

Bohannon collapsed down to the pitch and burst into laughter as the non-striker and Surrey fielders also failed to contain their amusement.

Even Clark – who also got a golden duck on a nightmare day – could not resist a giggle, either, as the laughing commentators tried to explain what had unfolded.

He said: “I’m so glad this is television and not radio so you can actually see that.

“Trying to describe what happened would have been ludicrous.

“When he had the easiest hit in the history of the world, he swung and missed it.”

Surrey posted the video on Twitter and wrote: “A dot ball’s a good ball!

“Innovative bowling from @Clarksy16 to bamboozle Josh Bohannon!”

Fans piled into the comments as they struggled to comprehend what they had witnessed – while the hilarious Twitter account That’s So Village shared the clip.

One replied: “That’s a great dot.”

Another said: “His reaction is priceless!”

A third added: “Bowl it straight next time.”

And a final user joked: “@Clarksy16 well bowled pal.”

The blunder for Surrey’s Clark comes just days after their T20 side suffered a record-breaking defeat in the Blast.

They had posted a whopping 252-7 from their 20 overs – including 96 from 45 balls for Will Jacks.

But despite winning odds of 249-1, the Oval side somehow through it away as Middlesex staged a simply staggering comeback to claim victory.
