Al-Ittihad ‘confident’ of signing Mo Salah from Liverpool with record-breaking wages

Saudi Arabian club Al Ittihad are reportedly "increasingly confident" in their pursuit to sign Liverpool superstar Mo Salah this summer. The offer on the table would make Salah the highest paid player in the world, surpassing Cristiano Ronaldo's salary at Al-Nassr. Salah's potential move to Saudi Arabia would see him earn more than any other athlete, including Ronaldo and Ballon d'Or holder Karim Benzema. While Liverpool have no intention of selling Salah, Al-Ittihad representatives have met with the player's agents to discuss the deal.

Saudi club ready to offer record-breaking salary

Al Ittihad is prepared to offer Mo Salah a deal that would exceed the £173million-per-year salary of Cristiano Ronaldo at Al-Nassr. Ronaldo, who is currently the highest paid athlete in the world, earns a staggering £3.4m-per-week until June 2025. If the deal goes through, Salah would become the highest paid star in football history, surpassing the salaries of Ronaldo, Neymar, and Karim Benzema. The proposed deal is reportedly worth £86m.

Salah considering the offer

According to reports, Mo Salah is seriously considering the offer from Al-Ittihad. While Liverpool has no plans to sell the forward and Salah's agent has insisted on his commitment to Anfield, there are suggestions that Salah could be open to a potential move to Saudi Arabia. Talks between Al-Ittihad representatives and Salah's camp have taken place, and the Saudi club is hopeful of securing the signing before the closing of the transfer window.

A race against time

Al-Ittihad is facing a race against time to finalize the deal, as the Premier League transfer window closes in less than a week. If Liverpool agrees to the offer, Salah would become the most expensive player in Saudi league history. The club is determined to convince Liverpool and manager Jurgen Klopp to let Salah go.

A potential coup for Al-Ittihad

If the transfer goes through, Salah would be the biggest signing for Al-Ittihad, given his status as one of the best forwards in the world. The player's potential move to a Muslim country could be an appealing prospect, although the clubs have not engaged in formal talks so far. Salah, who signed a new three-year contract with Liverpool last summer, currently holds the title of the highest-paid player in Liverpool's history.

Salah has been an instrumental figure for Liverpool, scoring 187 goals and helping the club win numerous titles, including the Premier League, Champions League, and FIFA Club World Cup.
