Aleksandar Mitrovic Slams Fulham and Newcastle After Joining Al-Hilal

Serbian striker Aleksandar Mitrovic has not held back in his criticism of former clubs Fulham and Newcastle following his £46 million move to Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal. Mitrovic, whose transfer brought an end to his eight-year stint in England, expressed his frustration at Fulham rejecting a bid from Al-Hilal and vowed to never play for the London club again. The 29-year-old, who scored 38 goals in 129 appearances in the Premier League, has since joined Al-Hilal and has already made a strong impact with five goals in four matches.

Mitrovic's Brutal Swipe at Fulham and Newcastle

Aleksandar Mitrovic has not held back in his criticism of Fulham and Newcastle following his move to Al-Hilal. Prior to the transfer, he reportedly made it clear to friends that he would not play for Fulham again after they turned down a bid from Al-Hilal. Mitrovic did make one final appearance for the Cottagers as a substitute on the opening weekend of the new season. However, he has now hit out at both Fulham and Newcastle after joining Al-Hilal, stating that he has no nostalgia for England.

Mitrovic's Happiness at Joining Al-Hilal

Speaking to Gazzetta Dello Sport, Mitrovic expressed his happiness at joining Al-Hilal, comparing the club to Real Madrid in Europe. He stated that when he received an offer from Al-Hilal, giving up was impossible and he discussed it with his family. Mitrovic has played in England for many years and has no nostalgia for the country. He is delighted to have finally arrived at a top club, where he can continue his career.

Mitrovic's Journey in England

Aleksandar Mitrovic first arrived in England in 2015, signing for Newcastle before eventually joining Fulham three years later. He experienced promotion to the Premier League with both clubs and was the Championship's top scorer twice during his time at Fulham. In the Premier League, Mitrovic scored a total of 38 goals in 129 appearances for both clubs.

Strong Start at Al-Hilal

Since his move to Al-Hilal in August, Mitrovic has wasted no time in making an impact. He has already scored five goals in four matches, including a hat-trick against Al-Ittihad earlier this month. The 29-year-old striker also found the back of the net in Friday's 6-1 victory over Al-Riyadh, further reinforcing his value to his new team.
