Alvaro Morata ‘snubs Arsenal and Tottenham transfers to stay at Juventus’ leaving Prem rivals scrambling for new striker

ALVARO MORATA has chosen to stay at Juventus, reportedly snubbing Arsenal and Tottenham in the process.

The Premier League duo have both been chasing a striker to bolster their top four hopes.

Alvaro Morata is set to stay at Juventus

Morata, 29, had been expected to be on the market – with Dusan Vlahovic’s Juventus arrival rendering him surplus to requirements.

But according to Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, that is not the case.

He reports that Morata himself decided that he’d like to stay at Juventus for the remainder of the campaign.

As well as Spurs and Arsenal, Barcelona had also been linked with the former Chelsea ace.

Morata is currently on loan at Juve from Atletico Madrid.

Boss Massmiliano Allegri feels that he can play with Vlahovic, rather than having to be his understudy.

He has scored five Serie A goals in 22 appearances so far this term.

It’s been a busy Deadline Day for the Old Lady.

Allegri’s men are closing in on the signing of Borussia Monchengladbach ace Denis Zakaria.

While Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur are set to join Spurs.

Out of favour star Aaron Ramsey is also believed to be mulling over an offer from Rangers ahead of a potential shock move to Glasgow.

As for Arsenal, fans playing detective convinced themselves that Alexander Isak was in London over the weekend to finalise a move to the Gunners.

But it turned out that he was merely in England’s capital to go shopping at Selfridges.

Raul de Tomas has also been linked with the Gunners.

But a potential pursuit would depend on Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s mooted Barcelona switch.
