Antony and Diogo Dalot ‘sat together to talk tactics’ before linking up on Man Utd’s right-flank against Arsenal

MANCHESTER UNITED stars Antony and Diogo Dalot talked tactics prior to the win versus Arsenal.

It was the Brazilian’s debut and it took him just 35 minutes to get off the mark scoring in his first Premier League appearance.

Antony and Diogo Dalot could be set to form a good relationship down Man Utd’s right

Antony got off to a dream start

He and Dalot linked up well on the right-hand side throughout the game until Antony was subbed off and replaced by Cristiano Ronaldo just before the hour-mark.

Man Utd boss Erik ten Hag has revealed that the £85million man who has just arrived from Ajax spoke with Dalot about how best to expose the Gunners when attacking and deal with their attacking threats.

Ten Hag told Dutch media: “It’s Antony’s first time on the team, although he and Dalot sat together before the game to talk about their collaboration.

“They filled it out well. The advantage is that they both speak Portuguese, so communication is good in that regard.

“From this point on, he has to get stronger and he will be, because he has the potential.

“Of course he had nerves for this match, but healthy nerves. He can perform very well under stress and we have seen that.”

Antony, 22, rewarded himself for his goal and the three points by having a celebratory meal with friends and was pictured punching the air with delight at what happened earlier in the day.

He will fast become a fans’ favourite if he continues to show such passion – as seen in his on-field celebration.

As for Dalot, 23, he has been impressive at right-back and looks to have nailed down a spot in United strongest starting XI with Ten Hag unconvinced by Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

Man Utd got off to a shocking start this season but they have no responded with four win from their last four games.

Their Europa League journey gets underway next as Real Sociedad head to Old Trafford.
