Youngsters Jonathan Dinzeyi, Joel Lopez and Jordan McEneff are also leaving.

Nketiah, who has been linked with a move to Crystal Palace, featured regularly for Arsenal towards the end of the season.

He scored 10 goals in all competitions as the Gunners narrowly missed out on Champions League qualification.

The news of a possible extension should not come as a surprise after the club accidently leaked that he is staying for next season.

In a social media post promoting Arsenal’s friendly against Nurnberg, they used an image of Nketiah.

His deal is set to expire at the end of this month with the match happening in early July.

If Nketiah does stay he could have to compete with Gabriel Jesus for a place in the starting XI with Arsenal considering making a bid.

Arsenal additionally confirmed that Lisa Evans, Tobin Heath and Viktoria Schnaderbeck from the women’s team are departing and that contracts talks are continuing with Lydia Williams.
