Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin top transfer target for Inter as former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte plots £27m transfer

INTER MILAN have identified Hector Bellerin as a top transfer target for this summer, according to reports.

Former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is thought to be considering making a bid to land the Arsenal right-back.

Inter Milan are considering making a summer swoop for Arsenal right-back Hector Bellerin, valued at around £27m

And according to the Mirror, the Gunners value their man at around £27million so could be tempted into selling should an offer come in.

Bellerin, 25, is a fans’ favourite at the Emirates after joining the club’s academy from Barcelona in 2011.

His current deal expires in 2023 and is understood to be not in a hurry to pen an extension at this stage.

And as he weighs up his long-term options, the report adds that Inter Milan have declared their interest.

The financial impact of coronavirus, though, may price Inter out of a deal.

Moreover, their Serie A rivals Juventus have already been linked with a move in recent weeks.

In his homeland Spain, meanwhile, Atletico Madrid and Sevilla are considering swoops.

That is despite Atleti only signing Kieran Trippier from Arsenal’s rivals Spurs a year ago.

Bellerin endured a difficult 2019, suffering a major cruciate ligament injury in the January which required surgery and kept him out of action for around nine months.

A hamstring problem in December put him back on the sidelines for another five weeks at the turn of the year.

It means this season the two-time FA Cup winner has been limited to just eight Premier League appearances.

His one goal so far could prove to be a crucial one: the vice-captain struck a late equaliser for ten-man Arsenal at Stamford Bridge to earn a 2-2 draw with Chelsea in January.

But the Spaniard may well play a major part for Arsenal before the season is over.

Mikel Arteta’s side get their campaign back underway on Wednesday against Manchester City, the first of ten remaining Premier League fixtures as they hope to make a late dash towards the European places.

The report also states Inter are set to reignite their interest in Olivier Giroud.

World Cup-winner Giroud has played a bit-part role at Chelsea this season and, despite recently signing a 12-month extension in West London, Inter may try and offer him a way out.

Conte has already raided the Premier League to sign Romelu Lukaku, Ashley Young, Christian Eriksen, Victor Moses and Alexis Sanchez in his first year at the San Siro.

But it seems he is hoping to bolster his side at both ends of the pitch by reuniting the former Arsenal team-mates.
