Arsenal Fans Mocked After Leaving Before Last-Minute Goals Against Man Utd

Arsenal fans have become the subject of brutal trolling after several supporters were caught on camera leaving The Emirates before their team's thrilling 3-1 victory over Manchester United. The Gunners left it late to secure all three points, with Declan Rice scoring in the 96th minute to make it 2-1. The camera captured the moment when fans who had already left the game started returning to the stadium after Arsenal scored their second goal.

Embarrassing Exit

As if the last-gasp winner from Rice wasn't enough, Gabriel Jesus added insult to United's injury with a 111th-minute goal, making it 3-1 for Arsenal. However, many Arsenal supporters were not present to witness the pandemonium of the late win. After Rice's goal, a camera above the Emirates caught several fans who had left the game early. Some of them threw their arms up in celebration upon hearing the roar from the stadium, but most were too embarrassed to join in.

Twitter Taunts

The embarrassing exit did not go unnoticed, with Sky Sports posting a still of the image on Twitter along with a reminder to never leave a game early. The tweet received various responses, including one fan mocking United's defenders, saying, "Especially when Maguire and Evans are in defense." A rival fan took a swipe at the Arsenal supporters, calling their fan base "shocking." Another critic called the early exit "embarrassing," stating that it is understandable to leave if the team is losing comfortably, but not at 1-1. Yet another fan urged supporters to believe in their team and stay until the last minute, referencing a similar situation at the Community Shield. One commenter went so far as to suggest that the fans in the photo should have their season tickets revoked by the club.

Arsenal's Standing

Despite the drama surrounding their fans, Arsenal's late victory sees them enter the international break in fifth place, tied on points with Liverpool, West Ham, and Tottenham, all of whom have a superior goal difference.
