Arsenal fans say they’ll be ‘happiest men alive’ if Edu pulls off ‘massive’ transfer for Brazilian wonderkid

ARSENAL supporters say they’ll be the “happiest alive” if Edu pulls off a “massive” transfer for a Brazilian wonderkid.

Arsenal’s transfer guru has helped Mikel Arteta transform his squad into title contenders.

Arsenal fans are praying Edu Gaspar can land one of his top targets this summer

Edu played a key role in signing the likes of Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko last summer.

And he followed them up in January with clever transfers for Jorginho and Leandro Trossard.

However, Edu plans on continuing to rebuild Arsenal’s squad as they prepare for Champions League football next term.

And Sport claims the Gunners have now joined the hunt for Brazilian wonderkid Vitor Roque.

The 18-year-old forward has 10 goals in 40 games for Athletico Paranaense.

And he won his first international cap in Brazil’s 2-1 defeat to Morocco five days ago.

Barcelona were thought to be leading the race for Roque before running into financial difficulties again.

And it’s reckoned Arsenal are now frontrunners for his signature.

Fans are certainly hoping Edu manages to pull off the transfer, with many believing Roque will make the Gunners a true force in Europe.

One fan said: “I swear if we somehow pull this off I will be the happiest man alive.”

Another declared: “Get him. Exact type of signing who could treble in value. It’s that Brazilian sauce.”

One noted: “Would be a massive coup but we’d probably need a title win to sway him.”

Another added: “He will be a proper signing for us and I can’t wait for this deal to go through.”
