Arsenal hardman Kolasinac tells pals ‘I just want to go home’ after ‘meeting Schalke chief three times over transfer’

SEAD KOLASINAC told pals “I just want to go home” as a move back to Schalke gathers pace.

Bild reports the Arsenal hardman has already met three times with sports director Jochen Schneider.

Sead Kolasinac is reportedly lining up a return to Schalke

The Bosnian defender, 27, joined the Gunners from Schalke in 2017 but the report states he has maintained fantastic relations with the Bundesliga outfit.

And he reportedly told his close circle of friends: “I just want to go home and that stadium will explode if we announce it.”

Schalke are looking to strengthen their options at left-back and Kolasinac‘s return would be a popular signing with fans.

It would also help the coffers with an expected boost in shirt sales.

When Kolasinac left Schalke, in a farewell letter he wrote to fans: “I’m one of you. Anyone who has left their heart in the pot will never forget this second home.”

Kolasinac came through the Schalke youth set-up in Gelsenkirchen and has a strong bond with the club.

Suspended for his final game but determined to bid farewell, Kolasinac piled into the away end in Schalke colours for their last game of the season on the road in 2017.

Kolasinac has slipped below Kieran Tierney in Mikel Arteta’s pecking order and could be sold as the Spanish boss undertakes a defensive overhaul.

Hector Bellerin is reportedly close to a move to Paris Saint-Germain after new No6 Gabriel Magalhaes was finally confirmed as a Gunners player.

Kolasinac could be joined in a move from The Emirates to Schalke by keeper Emi Martinez.

Schalke lost youngster Alexander Nubel to Bayern Munich on a free.

And Argentine Martinez has shone in place of Bernd Leno between the sticks in North London and would be a welcome addition for the German team.
