Arsenal have ‘concerns’ over Bukayo Saka signing a new contract to hand two Prem rivals huge transfer boost

ARSENAL are reportedly concerned they could struggle to tie Bukayo Saka down to a new contract.

The Mail claims Gunners chiefs have made it a priority to extend the deal of their brightest star, 20.

Arsenal have concerns about tying Bukayo Saka down to a new deal

Saka has 18 goals in 110 games for Arsenal since bursting onto the scene two years ago.

And he is attracting interest from two Premier League rivals in Manchester United and Liverpool.

Saka’s current contract expires in 2024, and Arsenal want to boost his £35,000-a-week wages to match their highest earners.

However, those behind the scenes are concerned that Saka could snub an extension should Mikel Arteta fail to qualify for next season’s Champions League.

The versatile winger is yet to play in Europe’s top tournament.

And with various England pals including Phil Foden, Jude Bellingham and Jadon Sancho all experiencing the elite competition, Saka is sure to eventually want a taste of the action.

Meanwhile, there are also worries that Arsenal could fail to land their top transfer targets this summer if another season goes by without Champions League football.

Arteta reportedly wants to sign a right-back, a central midfielder and TWO strikers.

However, targets such as Alexander Isak are dead-set on playing at the top level in Europe.

And Arsenal already have experience of missing out on players for the same reason after Fiorentina’s Dusan Vlahovic snubbed them last month for Juventus.
