WILLIAM SALIBA is set to miss Arsenal’s crunch trip to Liverpool on Sunday.
The defender is still struggling with a back injury.
William Saliba has missed the last two games with a back injury
Saliba has not been able to train since suffering the problem during the Europa League defeat by Sporting Lisbon three weeks ago.
He has already missed the last two games against Crystal Palace and Leeds.
The centre-back also pulled out of the France squad for last month’s internationals.
Saliba, 22, has been superb at the back for the Gunners this season, starting every game in the Premier League until picking up the back problem.
Rob Holding has deputised in the heart of defence in Saliba’s absence.
Saliba was forced off in the first-half of the Europa League defeat to Sporting Lisbon at the Emirates on March 16.
The French defender joined the Gunners in 2019 from Saint-Etienne for £27million but did not make a first team appearance until this season.
Alongside Gabriel Magalhaes in the heart of defence, Saliba has helped the Gunners to the top of the Premier League table.
