ARSENAL are reportedly in talks to sign Napoli ace Piotr Zielinski but are being put off by his hefty £95million transfer clause.
The Gunners have already allegedly approached the Serie A side about bringing the Polish playmaker to The Emirates.
But they want him for much less than what’s being asked, according to TVP SPORT.
And Napoli are in no rush to sell the 27-year-old who’s contracted to them until 2023.
Mikel Arteta’s side will have a difficult task convincing the Italian outfit’s owner Aurelio De Laurentiis to sell their midfield maestro for a lower price.
Laurentiis has built a reputation for being a tough negotiator in recent years.
Liverpool and Manchester United experienced this first-hand when he demanded £100m and no less for centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly earlier this year.
Since joining Napoli in 2016 for £14m, Zielinski has grown from strength to strength.
He snagged eight goals and provided ten assists for Luciano Spalletti’s side last season.
And someone who creates and scores goals is exactly what the Gunners are in desperate need of right now as they aim to improve on their poor eight-placed Premier League finish next term.

The North London side were previously linked with a move for Zielinksi in 2018.
Their then manager Unai Emery had identified him as the perfect replacement for the departing Aaron Ramsey.
But Real Madrid’s new boss Carlo Ancelotti, who was in charge Stadio San Paolo at the time, had no intention of selling his prized asset.
