ARSENAL legend Ian Wright has revealed more sickening racist abuse that he’s received on social media.
The 56-year-old had posted a video of himself speaking out about the Black Lives Matter movement on Thursday night.
And he was subsequently met by a disgusting barrage of racist messages from an idiotic troll on Instagram.
The former England international posted four screenshots of the horrifying messages, some of which labelled him the N-word, a “c***” and a “monkey”.
He captioned the screenshots with the message: “These aren’t isolated incidents!!! It’s daily!! This is what I received for posting and talking about #BlackLivesMatter yesterday.
“The abuse started a week earlier, the taunting is terrifying. Coming back and back again.”
The tweet has rightly caused an uproar among his followers, with many calling for social media sites to do more to combat the vile online abuse.
Wright continued in a separate tweet: “Let’s show these social media companies how bad this has got, it’s ridiculous!!! So easy for them!!
“If you or a black friend has had online racist abuse then please post a tweet with the hashtags #NoConsequences and #BlackLivesMatter”.
Among the many to respond was Manchester City legend Yaya Toure, who wrote: “We will not stand for this.
“#BlackLivesMatter #NoConsequences”.
Only last month an Irish teenager was questioned by police after handing himself in for sending racist abuse to Wright online.
At the time, the popular Match of the Day pundit wrote: “I know I’m not meant to look at them but these messages still hit me so hard man. This is a child!!!
“This kid as a direct line into me & is able to send this without any worry.”
English football has this week been supporting the Black Lives Matter movement, after worldwide protests following the murder of George Floyd by a policeman in Minneapolis.
All players have worn “Black Lives Matter” in place of their names above the number on the back of their shirts.
And each player and official has taken a knee before every Premier League game, as well as for last night’s League Two playoff semi-finals.
