Arsenal legend Liam Brady aims dig at Mesut Ozil who is ‘not a good guy in the dressing room or on the pitch’

ARSENAL legend Liam Brady has slammed outcast Mesut Ozil, saying he is ‘not a good guy in the dressing room or on the pitch’.

The German playmaker, 32, was axed from Mikel Arteta‘s Premier League and Europa League squads at the start of the 2020-21 season.

Arsenal legend Brady was scathing in his criticism of Ozil

Ozil is under contract until the end of the season and is raking in £350,000 a week to not even warm the bench.

But Brady has revealed he believes Gunners boss Arteta made the right call by exiling the former Real Madrid No10.

Brady told Keys & Gray: The Podcast: “I don’t blame Arteta over Ozil.

“He gave Ozil plenty of chances and he performed for a couple of months.

“Ozil just reverted back to type.

“He’s not a good guy in the dressing room, he’s not a good guy on the pitch.

“I’ve no problem with Mikel bombing him.”

Brady knows what it takes to succeed at Arsenal, having played over 300 times for the club – helping them win the 1979 FA Cup in the process.

And he continued by saying Arsenal chiefs should have cashed-in on Ozil THREE YEARS ago, even if that meant losing him on a free.

He added: “(Ivan) Gazidis should have let him go on a free three years ago.

“We should have spent what we are paying him over three years – around £50million – on a good young player instead of having him around the place.”

Ozil is now able to negotiate pre-contract terms with clubs ahead of a free move in the summer.

The playmaker has already been linked with Juventus and Fenerbahce.

And another club legend Ian Wright has urged Arsenal to pay Ozil to quit THIS month.
