Arsenal most in-form team in EUROPE with Man City only matching Arteta’s side over past ten games despite beating them

ARSENAL are the joint-most in-form team in Europe’s top five leagues, it has been revealed.

The Gunners have given their top four hopes a huge boost with a stellar run of form since the middle of December.

Arsenal are the joint-most in-form side in Europe’s top five leagues over the past 10 games

As reported by AFC Stuff, they have picked up 25 points out of a possible 30 in their last 10 Premier League matches.

That is a tally which can only be matched by English champions Manchester City – who handed Arsenal their only league defeat of 2022 so far.

A rejuvenated Barcelona are the next best out of the teams in England, Spain, Germany, Italy and France as they have picked up 24 points from a possible 30.

They are one ahead of Man City’s title rivals Liverpool, while Bayern Munich, Juventus and Nice have all taken 22 points over the same stretch of matches.

When Arsenal were beaten by Everton back in December, they were down in seventh place and four points off the Champions League places.

But a dramatic last-minute winner from Demarai Gray at Goodison Park seems to have sparked them into life.

Since then they have enjoyed wins over Southampton, West Ham, Leeds, Norwich, Brentford, Watford and Wolves twice.

The only points they have dropped in the league since then have come in a harsh 2-1 defeat to Manchester City and a goalless draw against Burnley.

Now they find themselves in a superb position to clinch fourth spot and a place in the Champions League.

Mikel Arteta’s side sit one point ahead of Manchester United with three games in hand – although they are far from bankers.

They have the same number of games in hand back to West Ham, who are three points off the pace.

And the Gunners’ North London rivals Tottenham are a solitary win adrift having played one game more than Arsenal.

Next up for Arteta’s men is a pair of home matches against Leicester and Liverpool.
