ARSENAL have their chance to land long-term target Daniele Rugani as Juventus are reportedly ready to sell him.
The Gunners tried to sign the Italian defender, 25, on a two-year loan deal in the summer following his impressive spell of form.
According to Calciomercato, the Serie A giants have decided to keep hold of defender Merih Demiral.
Leicester City, Tottenham and Manchester United were among the teams interested in the 21-year-old.
But Juventus do not want to offload the defender – even though he has only made three appearances this season.
The Italian club, who are top of the Serie A table after 17 games, will sell Rugani instead.
Arsenal have been monitoring the 25-year-old’s situation in Turin since the summer.
Unai Emery reportedly tried to sign the centre-back on loan with the intention to make the move permanent.
But Juventus swiftly rejected the north London club’s best offer.
Arsenal – who look set to have Mikel Arteta in charge in January – are in need of defensive reinforcements.
The Gunners might struggle to splash the cash on Rugani asthe club are reportedly not prepared to back Arteta in the transfer window.
