ARSENAL have been placed on Uefa’s watchlist of teams who are at risk of breaching Financial Fair Play rules, reports suggest.
The Gunners have invested heavily in overhauling their squad over the past few years.

Last summer, they outspent every other club in Europe, forking out over £140million to bring Ben White, Aaron Ramsdale, Martin Odegaard, Takehiro Tomiyasu, Albert Sambi Lokonga and Nuno Tavares to the Emirates.
Mikel Arteta’s spending spree has continued into the current window with Arsenal having already introduced five new additions.
Brazilian wonderkid Marquinhos became the club’s first signing of the summer when he arrived in a £3m transfer from Sao Paulo.
He was closely followed by Portuguese midfielder Fabio Vieira, who set the Gunners back around £34m when the deal with Porto was confirmed.
Goalkeeper Matt Turner then arrived in a £5.75m move from MLS side New England Revolution.
And Manchester City duo Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko were both tempted to North London last month for a combined total of £77m.
Arsenal have racked up a total net spend of almost £120m this summer.
And over the past year they have splurged around £260m in the transfer market.
As a result, according to The Times, Arsenal have now been placed on Uefa’s watchlist of teams who may be in danger of breaching FFP rules.
Uefa is preparing to announce sanctions for clubs who breached the regulations up to the 2020-21 season including Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona, Inter Milan, Roma and Juventus.
Initial analysis has reportedly flagged up concerns for the 2021-22 campaign for many clubs, including Arsenal, who insist that they are and have been compliant with FFP rules.
Despite the club’s total expenditure, Arsenal have managed to make around £101m by flogging a number of deadwood players including Joe Willock, Matteo Guendouzi and Bernd Leno.
Arteta is still eager to introduce some new additions before the transfer window slams shut next month.
Wolves winger Pedro Neto emerged as a priority transfer target earlier this week, but Arsenal will have to cough up £50m if they want to bring him to the Emirates.
The Gunners have also been heavily linked with a move for Leicester midfielder Youri Tielemans.
Club chiefs have reportedly been working on a deal for the past year, but no official bid has been made yet.
The Belgian midfielder has less than a year remaining on his contract so he is expected to be sold for a cut-price fee of just £25m this summer.
