Arsenal release iconic ‘bumblebee’ yellow and blue 90s iconic vintage collection starring Bukayo Saka and Ian Wright

ARSENAL and Adidas have combined yet again ahead of the holiday season by re-releasing the iconic 1993-94 kit.

The duo brought in back to the nineties in 2019 after relaunching the away 1991-93 ‘Bruised Banana’ kit to the delight of fans.

And they did the same again last year after remastering the home 1990-92 Gunners home jersey.

This Christmas is no different as the popular ‘bumblebee’ strip is back available for purchase as part of the the Adidas x Arsenal collection.

Along with the yellow and dark blue kit – notable for its diagonal stripes, old school Arsenal crest and the Adidas EQT logo – the collection also includes a sweatshirt, zipped jacket and T-shirt.

Arsenal released a promotional video for the new range, with the likes of Bukayo Saka, Kieran Tierney, Aaron Ramsdale, Emile Smith Rowe and club legend Ian Wright featuring.

Commenting on the collection, Wright said: “I have amazing memories of playing in the Adidas EQT jersey during the 93-94 season.

“And it’s great to celebrate that era with such a full and proper collection.

“The range has got all the classics and we had a good time on set playing our different roles.

“I even had to remind some of first team lads and women that we won the Cup Winners Cup that season so now that this is back, we have to win something!”

Those wishing to purchase any of the items will have to wait until December 13 where they will be available on the official Adidas and Arsenal websites.

Arsenal wore the jackets in their build-up prior to the 3-0 win against Southampton at the Emirates on Saturday.

Fans are loving the new collection, with social media sent into a meltdown following the release.

Commenting on the kit, one user tweeted: “My god, those retro kits are sexy.”

Another messaged: “Damn it Arsenal you are killing with all these retro kits. My bank account is not looking healthy.”
