Arsenal star Bernd Leno set to join Fulham in £8m transfer with medical this week ahead of big Premier League kick-off

ARSENAL have agreed a deal with Fulham to sell goalkeeper Bernd Leno, according to reports.

Marco Silva’s side have been tracking Leno for much of the summer and are set to seal the move soon.

According to The Athletic, Fulham have had an £8million bid accepted.

Leno has also agreed personal terms and will undergo a medical this week before finalising the transfer.

The German made 125 appearances in four years at Arsenal but lost his place in the side to England international Aaron Ramsdale last season.

He won the FA Cup in 2020 but will now be tasked with helping Fulham avoid relegation – which they have failed to do in their last two Premier League campaigns.

Meanwhile, Arsenal backup keeper Arthur Okonkwo has joined Crewe on loan, which means summer signing Matt Turner will act as number two to Ramsdale.

Nuno Tavares could be the next out of the door with Marseille taking the defender on loan for the season.

The left-back is set to undergo a medical with the French club having previously attracted interest from Brighton and Atalanta.

The Gunners are still keen to make more signings and have reportedly submitted an enquiry for Inter Milan star Cesare Casedei.

The midfielder, 19, has also caught Chelsea’s eye but the Blues have had a £6.7m offer rejected by Inter.

Chelsea are believed to be preparing another bid but Inter will not let the youngster go for less than £17m.
