Arsenal suffer blow in transfer hunt for Dusan Vlahovic as Italy legend tells him to choose one of two Prem rivals

ARSENAL transfer target Dusan Vlahovic has been told to choose either Manchester City or Tottenham as his big money move away from Fiorentina.

The 21-year-old has attracted interest from a host of top clubs after netting 34 Serie A goals in the last year and a half.

Vlahovic has been urged to seek a move to Man City or Antonio Conte’s Spurs

Juventus as well as Premier League clubs have been plotting moves for the Serbian international.

Arsenal are in more dire need of a striker with all three of their natural forwards misfiring.

Eddie Nketiah and Alexandre Lacazette’s contracts are both up next summer too, leaving just club captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as Mikel Arteta’s only option.

But Italian legend Antonio Cassano has highlighted two of the Gunners’ rivals as better suited options for Vlahovic, and urged the forward to seek a move outside of Italy and snub Juve.

Speaking on a Twitch live on Bobo TV, Cassano said: “Don’t go to Juventus.

“Choose Guardiola and go to Manchester City. I don’t know if he would already be up to it now, but in just one year with him you would reach the level of Haaland.

“If, on the other hand, at 20 you find a coach who does not know how to talk and work with you, the your growth ends.

“If I were him I would go abroad. Why not choose Conte and Tottenham? Antonio would make Vlahovic grow as happened with Lukaku at Inter.”

Vlahovic could cost Arsenal an eye-watering £68million though.

The Gunners already spent the most in the league in the summer window, and if they manage to poach Vlahovic, Arteta would almost certainly be under pressure to compete for a top-four finish.
