ARSENAL are reportedly set to terminate Mesut Ozil’s contract ahead of his move to Fenerbahce.
The midfielder – who earns £350,000-per-week – has been frozen out of Mikel Arteta’s squad this season.
According to The Athletic, the Gunners have reached an agreement in principle to end Ozil’s deal.
The midfielder was set to earn around £7million between now and the end of his contract in June.
But he is set to fly to Turkey this weekend to finalise his move to Fenerbahce as a free agent.
Fenerbahce sporting director Emre Belozoglu claimed this week that a deal for Ozil was ‘closer than ever’.
