Arsenal train in new Adidas kit meant for next season ahead of Man City clash and fans love it

ARSENAL stars sampled their training kit for next season… as they prepare to get this one back underway.

Boss Mikel Arteta put the players through their paces at London Colney ahead of their match with Manchester City tonight.

And with the new Adidas gear having dropped today, Gunners stars tried it for size in the sunshine.

Skipper Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang can be seen in one photo firing up a shot on goal in the pale yellow sleeveless shirt – adorning sponsors Fly Emirates on the torso.

The design features blue and pink trim with navy shorts, as well as of course the classic three stripes.

The new top will set fans back £35, while the long sleeve variation preferred by Shkodran Mustafi and Alexandre Lacazette is an extra fiver.

For those not too keen on the yellow, boss Mikel Arteta wore a navy blue long sleeve quarter zip top with pink trim that will have fans shelling out £60.

If fans want the full look with matching tracksuit bottoms, they’ll have to pay another £45 for the privilege.

The new threads generally appear to have gone down well with supporters online.

One fan wrote: “New training gear looks great @adidasfootball”.

While another commented: “Arteta’s joggers are needed”.

Another added: “great stash imo”.

The Gunners will wear an altered version of this season’s third strip this evening at the Etihad, as they show support for the Black Lives Matter movement and the NHS.

Instead of player’s names on the back of the shirt, “Black Lives Matter” will be printed above squad numbers in solidarity with the social justice movement.

Mesut Ozil was all-smiles in his new threads

And the NHS logo, in a heart-shape badge, will be emblazoned on the chest between the club crest and Adidas logo in a nod to the amazing work of brave staff during the coronavirus pandemic.

The Gunners resume their Premier League campaign this evening, as Arteta makes his first return to Etihad Stadium since leaving his post as Pep Guardiola’s No2 to take the reins at the Emirates.

They do so sitting a disappointing ninth in the table – but only four points behind fifth-placed Manchester United and yet to lose a league match in 2020.
