, Arsenal vs PSV: Champions League football returns to the Emirates after six-year absence

Champions League football is making a long-awaited return to the Emirates Stadium as Arsenal prepare to face PSV in Group B. After narrowly missing out on the Premier League title last season, the Gunners will be looking to make their mark on Europe's top-tier competition, which was their main objective at the start of the campaign.

Arsenal looking to build on their victory against Everton

The North London outfit will have the wind in their sails after finally breaking the curse of Goodison Park on Sunday. Leandro Trossard, who scored the winner against Everton, will be among the players expected to inspire Arsenal to victory once again. However, PSV got the better of Arsenal when they met in 2022, so the Gunners will have to be on top form to secure a win.

When and where is the match?

Arsenal's first Champions League match in six years against PSV will kick off on Wednesday, September 20, at 8pm BST. The game will take place at the Emirates Stadium in North London, which has a seating capacity of approximately 60,000 fans.

TV channel and live streaming

The match will be broadcast live on TNT Sports 1, with coverage starting at 7:45 BST – just 15 minutes before kick-off. Fans can also stream the game on the TNT Sports website. If you can't access those options, SunSport will provide full coverage of the action through our live blog, including pre-match and post-match reaction.

Team news

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta will be hoping that Gabriel Martinelli, who sustained a hamstring injury in the win against Everton, will be fit for the match. However, he can rely on Leandro Trossard, who scored the winning goal in that game. It remains to be seen whether Aaron Ramsdale or summer signing David Raya will start in goal for Arsenal. PSV, on the other hand, will be without Mauro Junior, Armando Obispo, Fredrik Oppegard, and Jordan Teze due to injury.

What are the odds?

According to Ladbrokes, Arsenal are the favorites to win at 4/11, followed by a draw at 19/5, and PSV at 17/1.
