ARSENAL reportedly remain desperate to bring in a centre-forward this month with Dusan Vlahovic, Alexander Isak and Dominic Calvert-Lewin all serious options.
The Gunners made bringing Fiorentina striker Vlahohic to the Emirates their No1 priority this winter transfer window.
Though the North London are poised to miss out on his signature with the 21-year-old understood to have agreed personal terms with Juventus.
But according to The Athletic, Arsenal are yet to give up on luring the Serbian international to England.
However should they fail to nab him, the club will redouble their efforts in signing either Everton ace Calvert-Lewin or Real Sociedad marksman Isak.
The news outlet states that Arsenal are aware that landing either player midway through the season will prove difficult as they are both critical to their teams.
They add that Calvert-Lewin would be open to making the move to Arsenal as the chance to link up with the club appeals to him.
A fee of £60million is thought to be enough to land the 11-cap Three Lions star.

Meanwhile Isak is known to be a fan of English football having revealed in November he hopes to play in the Premier League in the future.
And Arsenal know they can snatch the player for £76m due to a release clause in his contract, making it a straightforward deal to complete.
In addition to a striker, The Athletic also claim how Arsenal will look to add a central midfielder and goalkeeper to their ranks before the winter window slams shut.
Juve maestro Arthur is known to be a loan target for the Gunners, while Wolves’ Ruben Neves, RB Leipzig’s Tyler Adams, Aston Villa’s Douglas Luiz and Lyon’s Bruno Guimaraes are also on the list.
Arsenal are also hopeful in signing New England Revolution shot-stopper Matt Turner as a back-up to Aaron Ramsdale.
German outcast Bernd Leno has been linked with departing in January as Newcastle eye up a loan deal.
With Arsenal desperate for new recruits in their bid to finish in the top four, boss Mikel Arteta has flown out to America to meet owner Stan Kroenke to push for investment.
