‘Ask your own question’ – Fuming Klopp says Didi Hamann has ‘no idea’ as he flies into tirade at ex-Liverpool star

, ‘Ask your own question’ – Fuming Klopp says Didi Hamann has ‘no idea’ as he flies into tirade at ex-Liverpool star

JURGEN KLOPP slammed former Liverpool midfielder Didi Hamann for having “no idea”.

The Liverpool boss, preparing for tonight’s second part of the Battle of Britain against Rangers, reacted with anger following the criticism from Hamman.

Liverpool chief Jurgen Klopp hit back fiercely at Didi Hamann’s comments

Didi Hamann, who played for Liverpool from 1999-2006, claimed Jurgen Klopp’s reign is wobbling after six years in charge

The ex German international reckons the Klopp era could be coming to an end and said the current team is lacklustre.

Klopp, asked what he thought about his team lacking a spark, said: “Who said that? Oh great, he (Hamann) is a fantastic source. Well respected everywhere. . .”

Reminded that Hamann is a former Liverpool midfielder, Klopp added: “That does not give you the right to say what you want, especially when you have no idea.

“I actually think Didi Hamann does not deserve the fact that you use his phrase to ask me a question.

“Do me a favour and ask your own question. That is good. Try to ask a question without using the word spark.”

Klopp revealed his relief that Trent Alexander-Arnold will only be out for two weeks while Joel Matip will be missing for three weeks.

Both England right-back Alexander-Arnold – who has an ankle injury – and centre-back Matip, who has a calf issue, came off at Arsenal on Sunday.

Winger Luis Diaz also picked up a knee injury against Arsenal and has been ruled out for up to eight weeks.

Klopp, looking for a third Champions League win tonight, feared the worst with defender Alexander-Arnold after the 3-2 loss at Arsenal.

The Liverpool manager said: “We are maybe, hopefully, a little bit lucky with Trent because the ankle didn’t look good, to be honest but it is only two weeks. I take that.

“Lucho (Diaz), will be six to eight weeks. Lucho looks like a quick healer but anyway we have obviously to be careful with that. It could have been worse as well, the way he moved after the game.

“And actually, Joel just felt a little bit uncomfortable and needs a scan.

Yes, that is not great, but it is the situation and we have to deal with it and we will.”

Meanwhile, Klopp insisted Jordan Henderson will be okay to play tonight as he is currently being investigated for an alleged comment made to Arsenal defender Gabriel.

Asked whether Henderson will be in the right frame of mind to play, a serious-looking Klopp just said: “yes.”
