ATLETICO MADRID want to tempt Arsenal into selling Alexandre Lacazette by offering one of three players, according to reports.

Diego Simeone is prepared to sacrifice wingers Thomas Lemar, Vitolo or forward Angel Correa to land the Frenchman.

Atletico are in the market for a new striker with a lack of firepower in attack.

Alvaro Morata was the club’s top scorer last campaign with 15 in 42 appearances.

Lacazette has been a long-term target of Atleti’s and almost signed him in 2017 before they were handed a transfer ban.

Mikel Arteta is not desperate to sell the striker but would be open to offers around £30million in a bid to raise funds to land other targets.

It remains unlikely that he would entertain a swap deal unless Atletico offered a lump of cash with the deal.

Arteta will want to use the money to continue his pursuits of Thomas Partey and Houssem Aouar who are set to cost a combined £90million.

Arsenal are also on the brink of signing defender Gabriel Magalhaes for £27m.

Lemar’s availability could tempt Arsenal after the club missed out on his signature in 2017.

But his worrying drop in form over the last two seasons will prove a cause for concern.

Arteta will also be reluctant to let Lacazette leave while Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s future hangs in the balance.

Laca’s strike partner appears to be closing in on a £250,000-a-week three-year contract although negotiations continue to drag.
