Ben Chilwell ‘wants £50m Chelsea transfer’ as Frank Lampard looks to take spending close to £150

BEN CHILWELL wants to move to Chelsea, according to reports.

The Leicester left-back has been linked with a £50million switch to Stamford Bridge for some time.

Ben Chilwell reportedly wants to move to Chelsea

The West Londoners are keen to replace Emerson and Marcos Alonso who have disappointed at left-back so far this campaign.

And the deal could be one step closer as Chilwell is up for the move, according to the Standard.

The Blues received some more good news yesterday when it emerged the Foxes are looking at Ajax left-back Nicolas Tagliafico as replacement if Chilwell leaves.

The East Midlands side have not named a price for the England international, who is also said to have attracted interest from Manchester City.

But having previously cashed in on Harry Maguire and Riyad Mahrez, if an offer ‘too good to refuse’ comes in, they will likely sell up.

Chilwell has impressed once again this term with two goals and three assists, including a goal against Chelsea in February.

Should the West Londoners land Chilwell for £50million, their summer spending will exceed £100m if they finalise Timo Werner’s £54m move from RB Leipzig, as they are expected to do in the coming days.

Frank Lampard is still looking to spend more as the Blues are also said to be leading the race to sign Bayer Leverkusen’s Kai Havertz for £70m.

And though they are not frontrunners for his signature, £100m man Jadon Sancho has also been linked with a move to the Bridge.

Werner is also expected to complete a £54m deal any day now

Although they are not frontrunners in the race to sign him Chelsea have also been linked with £100m man Jadon Sancho
