PREMIER LEAGUE clubs spent billions yet again this summer with some huge stars arriving in England.
From Erling Haaland to Casemiro there were no shortage of major scoops, with some clubs fairing better than others.

Chelsea were the biggest spenders of the window with owner Todd Boehly splashing out £248million on eight additions – Wesley Fofana and Kalidou Kouliably perhaps the pick of the bunch.
Arsenal backed up their big spend in 2021 with another serious investment in the squad as Mikel Arteta brought two former players to The Emirates – Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko – among many others.
North London rivals Tottenham also spent heavily and got their work done early with no fewer than eight signings – £60m Richarlison was their biggest outlay while Ivan Perisic signed on a free.
Meanwhile, Manchester United backed Erik ten Hag with six additions – including £140.5m Ajax pair Antony and Lisandro Martinez, as well as five-time Champions League winner Casemiro.
Eriksen also arrived from Brentford on a free transfer in one of the most sensible moves of the summer.
Neighbours Manchester City went about their business quietly but effectively, capturing Kalvin Phillips for £45m while Argentine wonderkid Julian Alvarez also arrived after agreeing a move in January.
Manuel Akanji followed Haaland to the Etihad to complete a deadline day switch from Borussia Dortmund and will be hoping to replicate the Norwegian’s superb start after the striker scored nine goals in his first five games.
Title rivals Liverpool had a similar window, smashing their transfer record to land striker Darwin Nunez for £85m.

He has not had the best start after receiving a red card for a headbutt on Joachim Andersen in his second game but youngster Fabio Carvalho as looked promising since arriving from Fulham.
There were several other sensible acquisitions including Newcastle getting Nick Pope and Sven Botman through the door to tighten up their defence.
Connor Coady on loan to Everton also looks a piece of inspired business while Chelsea have spent big on two players with Premier League pedigree – Raheem Sterling and Marco Cucurella.
Fulham have done likewise with their purchase of Bernd Leno from Arsenal but West Ham have been a bit more adventurous – signing Lucas Paqueta from Lyon for a club record £51m fee.
